What will you do?

As a Senior Staff Accountant you will be a positive contributor to the Accounting and Finance team by performing or reviewing many of the essential accounting duties such as customer invoicing, AR collection, AP review, payroll, journal entries, & other related duties. This role is expected to support and help mentor other accounting staff in their development within their roles. This role also partners with project managers, HR, and senior leadership to support key priorities. You will report to the Controller and work closely with other team members in meeting monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines.

Essential Job Functions:

• Support Accounting team month-end close process
• Support annual 401(k) and ESOP audit requests from auditors
• Support annual financial review requests from external accountants
• Ensure processing of customer invoices and employee expense reports in a timely manner
• Monitor Accounts Receivable, communicate with customers & project managers as necessary
• Review and approve supplier invoices to ensure accuracy of transactions
• Review and approve general ledger journal entries and reconciliations prepared by others
• Create and post general ledger journal entries
• Help ensure effective internal controls
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts as assigned
• Payroll processing oversight and review
• Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual government required licenses and/or reports filing
• Identify and support implementation of improvements in accounting processes, workflows, and internal controls
• Ensure proper accounting for daily cash transactions
• Support and mentor other accounting staff
• Prepare ad hoc analysis and reports (e.g. productivity reports, project profitability, etc.)
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

What are we looking for?

• BA/BS in finance or accounting
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Proficiency in MS Office with advanced Excel skills
• Solid communication skills at all levels within the organization
• Ability to identify and report problems and assist in their resolution
• Good interpersonal communication skills, and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident)

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA designation
• Paylocity or similar HRIS software experience
• SAP ByDesign experience
• ERP implementation experience
• Engineering and/or Manufacturing industry experience

Compensation and Benefits

Senior Staff Accountant pay range: $88,710 - $144, 951*

*This range represents base pay. In addition, you may be eligible for additional benefits and compensation.
